NUM slams plans to retrench over 800 workers

DURBAN – NUM in KwaZulu-Natal is fuming after learning that the Zululand Anthracites Colliery intends to retrench over 800 workers.
The union will lead a march to the Mineral Resources Department on Wednesday.

The union wants the department to revoke the company’s mining rights should it continue with the planned retrenchments.
